Bousier * Dung beetle

Les bousiers du Genre Geotrupes ne font pas de boules d'excréments qu'ils promeneraient en les poussant avec leurs pattes arrières. Les Geotrupes creusent sous les tas de fumier, d'excréments pour les enfuir en partie. La femelle y pondra ses œufs et ces excréments serviront de nourriture aux larves et c'est là qu'elles hiberneront. L'éclosion de l'imago aura lieu l'année suivante.

The dung beetles of the Genus Geotrupes don't make balls of excrement which they would walk by pushing them with their hind legs. Geotrupes dig under heaps of manure, excrement to partly flee them. The female will lay her eggs there and these excrement will serve as food for the larvae and this is where they will hibernate. The hatching of the imago will take place the following year.
