Tabac * Silver-washed

Le tabac d'Espagne (Argynnis paphia) est un papillon parfois difficile à différencier des nacrés. La sécurité voudrait pour poser l'identification avec sécurité d'avoir une photo du revers des ailes. On remarque alors que l'aile postérieure est marbrée de gris verdâtre à bandes longitudinales. 

La plante hôte de la chenille est la violette (Viola sp). Ce sont les chenilles qui passent l'hiver cachées dans les crevasses des écorces où elles ont été pondues. Elles ne vont sur les fleurs qu'au début du printemps.

The silver washed fritillary (Argynnis paphia) is a butterfly sometimes difficult to differentiate from other fritillary. The security would want to put the identification with safety to have a photo of the back of the wings. We will then notice that the posterior wing is marbled by greenish grey with longitudinal strips.

The host plant of the caterpillar is the violet (Viola sp). It's the caterpillars which spend the winter hidden in the cracks of the barks where they were laid. They go on the flowers only at the beginning of the spring.
